1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of colorless transparent float glass.
This standard applies to externally sourced ordinary clear sheet glass, tempered glass, laminated glass, wired glass, silver mirror glass, gray glass, and crystal glass.

3 Classification
3.1 Glass is classified by use into cabinet grade, enclosure grade, and cashier grade.
3.2 Glass is classified by thickness into the following types: 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 19mm, 29mm.
4 Requirements
4.1 Glass shall be square, rectangular, or special-shaped. The allowable deviations for length and width dimensions shall comply with the provisions of Table 1. Table 1 Allowable Dimensional Deviations (mm)

4.2 The allowable thickness deviation of glass shall comply with the provisions of Table 2. The thickness variation on the same piece of glass shall be 0.1mm for thicknesses of 2mm and 3mm; and 0.3mm for thicknesses of 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, and 10mm.
4.3 The appearance quality of the glass shall comply with the provisions of Table 3. Table 2 Allowable Thickness Deviation (mm)
