Product Introduction:

Epoxy Anticorrosive Coating is a two-component anticorrosive paint composed of epoxy resin, pigments, fillers, additives, solvents, and a matching curing agent. The paint film air-dries at room temperature and exhibits excellent physical and chemical properties. Epoxy topcoat is available in various colors, offering outstanding decorative appeal. The paint film demonstrates strong corrosion and solvent resistance. Epoxy anticorrosive topcoat is primarily suitable for indoor environments and is not recommended for outdoor applications.

Surface Preparation

All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from contamination. Evaluation and treatment should follow ISO8504.

Bare Steel Cleanliness: Blast cleaning to Sa2.5 grade (ISO8501-1:1998).

Alternatively, power tool cleaning to a minimum of St2 grade, free from scale (ISO8501-1:1988), depending on the situation.

Steel with shop primer: Clean, dry, and intact approved shop primer.

Painted surfaces: Clean, dry, and intact compatible primer.

Compatible Primers: Epoxy zinc-rich primer, epoxy mica iron oxide primer, epoxy iron red primer, inorganic zinc-rich primer, inorganic zinc silicate primer.

Application Conditions: Substrate temperature should not be below 5°C and must be at least 3°C above the dew point  (temperature and relative humidity should be measured near the substrate). Adequate ventilation is generally required to ensure proper drying of the paint.

Application Methods

Spraying: Airless or conventional spray. High-pressure airless spray is recommended. For conventional spray, adjust paint viscosity and air pressure accordingly. Diluent should not exceed 30%, as it may affect coating performance.

Brushing: Recommended for pre-coating and small areas, but the specified dry film thickness must be achieved.

Packaging and storage comply with national regulations. Store in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area, avoiding high temperatures and keeping away from fire sources. Keep containers tightly closed. Shelf life is 12 months.

Primer packaging specification: Component A: 24KG. Component B: 4KG

Topcoat packaging specification: Component A: 20KG. Component B: 4KG

Precautions: Avoid exposure to heat before the coating is fully dried (minimum 24 hours at 20°C).

Health and Safety: Please note the warning labels on the packaging containers. Use in well-ventilated conditions. Do not inhale paint mist, and avoid skin contact. If paint splashes on the skin, wash immediately with suitable cleaner, soap, and water.

If paint enters the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical attention immediately.
