Stage tool (collar) is a kind of mechanical tool used to complete cementing operation into two times. It mainly consists of two-stage coupling (body), first-stage plug, shut-off baffle, free-fall opening plug and closing plug.
Cementing Basketsmay be run on casing, tubing or liners, and are designed to seal off zones below the basket from contamination by cement slurry. They are also used in stage cementing or in cementing the annulus from surface. Slip on steel type cement basket and canvas basket are available. Available in the size range 4 1/2" to 30 ".
Cementing headis a kind of special tool to pump slurry and release plug. It is used to fill drilling fluid into casing in turn and quickly. In most operations, a bottom plug is launched before the spaceror cement slurry. The top plug is released from the cement head after the spacer fluid. Most cement heads can hold both the top and bottom plugs. A manifoldincorporated into the cement head assembly allows connectionof a fluid circulationline.
The types of cementing head are various as single-plugs, double plugs cementing head and so on. Double plug cement head is a special tool for grouting cement and releasing rubber plugs. Two rubber plugs can be installed at the same time, which can beused for both conventional double plug cementing and continuous two-stage cementing.
