Conductor: Typically composed of multiple strands of fine copper wires twisted together to enhance electrical conductivity and flexibility, meeting the demands of frequent bending during elevator operation.

Insulation Layer: Common insulating materials include polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). PVC is widely used due to its good electrical and processing properties, while XLPE is gradually becoming the mainstream choice for its excellent electrical performance and heat resistance.

Filler: Generally made of non-hygroscopic materials such as nylon or polyester fiber, used to fill the internal gaps of the cable and enhance its overall strength.

PB Layer: Usually a metal mesh structure or metal foil, which prevents electromagnetic interference and lightning strikes, ensuring stable signal transmission. It is commonly used in applications with high requirements for signal transmission.

Outer Sheath: Serves to protect the cable. Common materials include PVC, polyurethane (PU), and nylon. PU is widely adopted for its excellent wear resistance, aging resistance, and oil resistance.

II. Main Characteristics:

Flexibility: During elevator operation, the traveling control cable moves frequently with the elevator car, requiring excellent bending resistance to withstand repeated bending without damage.

High Tensile Strength: The cable needs to bear its own weight and the tension generated during elevator operation. Steel wires or other reinforcing cores are often added to enhance tensile strength.

Good Insulation Performance: Maintains reliable insulation under various environmental conditions during elevator operation, ensuring safe and secure power and signal transmission while preventing faults such as leakage and short circuits.

Wide Temperature Range: Generally operates normally in ambient temperatures ranging from -40°C to 70°C. Some cable models remain flexible even at low temperatures of -15°C.

III. Application Scenarios:

Residential Elevators: Typically use PVC-insulated traveling cables, focusing on durability and cost-effectiveness to meet the basic needs of home elevators.

Commercial Elevators: Due to high frequency of use and heavy loads, double steel wire core cables are commonly employed. These cables provide comprehensive electrical control over long-distance suspension, withstand mechanical stress, and offer excellent PB anti-interference effects.

Hospital Elevators: Require extremely high safety and stability. High-performance XLPE-insulated traveling cables are often used, effectively reducing failure rates and ensuring long-term stable operation of the elevator.
