The uneven or spongy edge width must not exceed 10 mm, and the length must not exceed 1/10 of the total length of the rubber sheet. Cracks are not allowed.

◆Process and Molding of Insulating Rubber Mat
The upper and lower surfaces of the insulating mat should not have harmful irregularities. Harmful irregularities refer to defects that disrupt uniformity or damage the smooth surface profile, such as small holes, cracks, local bulges, cuts, embedded conductive foreign objects, folds, voids, uneven waves, and casting marks. Harmless irregularities refer to surface irregularities formed during the production process.
◆Thickness of Insulating Rubber Mat
Thickness measurements and inspections should be conducted at more than five randomly selected points across the entire insulating mat. A micrometer or an instrument of the same precision can be used for measurement. The micrometer's accuracy should be within 0.02 mm, with a measuring tip diameter of 6 mm and a flat pressure foot diameter of (3.17 ± 0.25) mm. The pressure foot should be able to apply a pressure of (0.83 ± 0.03) N. The insulating mat should be laid flat to ensure smooth measurements with the micrometer.
◆National Standards for Insulating Rubber Mat
For a 10KV power distribution room, choose an 8mm thick mat: withstands 10000V power frequency voltage for 1 minute without breakdown; breaks down at 18000V power frequency voltage in 20 seconds. For a 35KV power distribution room, choose a 10-12mm thick mat: withstands 15000V power frequency voltage for 1 minute without breakdown; breaks down at 26000V power frequency voltage in 20 seconds. For low-voltage power distribution rooms, choose a 5mm thick mat: withstands 3500V power frequency voltage for 1 minute without breakdown at voltages below 500V; breaks down at 10000V power frequency voltage in 20 seconds.
◆Storage of Insulating Rubber Mat
The insulating mat should be stored in a dedicated box, avoiding direct sunlight, rain, and snow, and protected from compression and sharp object impacts.
Contact with oil, acid, alkali, or other harmful substances is prohibited, and it should be kept at least 1 meter away from heat sources. The storage environment temperature should be between 10°C and 21°C.
