Pouring Molding
Choose the pouring method: Depending on the shape and complexity of the prototype, you can choose direct pouring or layered pouring. For prototypes with simple shapes and no intricate details, the degassed silicone can be slowly poured directly into the mold frame containing the prototype until the silicone completely covers it. For prototypes with complex shapes, deep holes, or grooves, a layered pouring method is recommended. First, pour a thin layer of silicone and allow it to partially cure (usually 1-2 hours, depending on the curing speed of the silicone) before proceeding with subsequent pours. This helps prevent air bubbles and ensures smooth silicone flow.

Control pouring speed: During the pouring process, control the flow rate of the silicone to avoid generating new bubbles due to overly rapid pouring. Additionally, try to start pouring from a single point, allowing the silicone to flow naturally and cover the prototype.

Curing and Demolding
Wait for curing: After pouring is complete, allow the silicone to cure naturally at room temperature. The curing time varies depending on the type of silicone and ambient temperature, typically ranging from 8 to 24 hours. Higher ambient temperatures accelerate curing, while lower temperatures slow it down. During the curing process, ensure the mold is placed on a stable, vibration-free surface to avoid affecting the curing outcome.

Demolding: Once the silicone has fully cured, carefully separate the mold from the prototype. If a release agent was applied earlier, the demolding process will be smoother. If no release agent was used, carefully use a tool to cut along the edge of the mold and slowly peel it off, taking care not to damage the mold or the prototype. After demolding, clean and maintain the mold for future use.
