Purpose of Liquid Trough Sealant:

 Dual-component liquid silicone for liquid trough high-efficiency filters, also known as liquid trough sealant (or blue jelly glue), which forms a gel-like elastomer after vulcanization.

Features of Liquid Trough Sealant:

The jelly glue for high-efficiency filter liquid trough has low viscosity before vulcanization, releases no low molecules during vulcanization, has minimal linear shrinkage, is non-corrosive, and the vulcanized gel is self-adhesive and self-healing. It is moisture-proof, aging-resistant, resistant to mechanical impact and vibration, can be used long-term at -50 to 200°C, and maintains stable performance. It is mainly used for liquid trough high-efficiency air filters, sealing electronic appliances and components, providing sealing, moisture-proofing, shockproofing, insulation, and other protective functions.

Operation of Liquid Trough Sealant:

First, clean the components to be encapsulated with alcohol to remove oil and impurities. After the solvent evaporates, thoroughly mix components A and B in a 1:1 ratio before encapsulation. If possible, perform vacuum degassing before encapsulation. It vulcanizes into a gel-like elastomer at room temperature within 3-8 hours, but testing requires leaving it for more than 24 hours.

Precautions for Liquid Trough Sealant:

a. When handling liquid trough sealant, mix component A and component B strictly in a 1:1 ratio;

b. Do not smoke during the operation to prevent the silicone from reacting and not curing, resulting in a non-drying surface;

c. Do not allow contact with any other condensation-type silicone, as this may cause the curing agent (component B) to not cure, resulting in silicone failure.

Shelf Life:

Liquid trough sealant should be stored in a sealed container at room temperature in a dry environment. Avoid contact with water to prevent deterioration. Unopened, it can be stored for 12 months at 25°C.
