The German Sartorius Midisart 2000 filter utilizes hydrophobic PTFE membrane as the air filtration medium, which can be autoclaved for repeated use. It is suitable for sterile ventilation in small fermenters and culture medium storage tanks, as well as for filtering the air intake of analytical instruments. The unique design of the Midisart 2000 gives it the characteristics of high flow rate and high safety. The membrane employs polypropylene mesh reinforcement technology, with a pressure resistance of up to 3 bar and a filtration area of 20 cm2, allowing it to achieve high flow rates even at low pressure differentials.

To prevent damage to the analyzer caused by defects in sample pretreatment equipment (such as dehumidifiers, peristaltic pumps, and filters), the liquid blocker is directly installed on the intake pipe of the gas analyzer. The coated semi-permeable membrane inside the liquid blocker separates the sample gas from polymers and dust to protect the analyzer. If the membrane becomes completely covered by polymers and dust, interrupting the airflow, an alarm system installed on the flow meter will trigger an alarm signal. Particles dislodged during the replacement of the dust filter cartridge may eventually cause harm to the analyzer.
The membrane pore size of the liquid blocker is 0.1 micrometers, which prevents these particles from contaminating the analyzer.
