Compliant with ATEX 2, during gas pretreatment, condensate accumulates when handling sample gas. Condensation always occurs when moist sample gas is cooled. On one hand, condensation is undesirable when it causes cold bridges in the sample gas lines. On the other hand, it is necessary to precipitate moisture to protect the measuring elements of the analyzer from damage and/or to stabilize measurement results. Since sample gas is typically transported by the analysis system in suction mode, condensate must be removed via pumping. For this purpose, well-known peristaltic pumps are particularly suitable. To meet system requirements, the sample gas system must be protected from external air intrusion, and high durability against often highly corrosive condensates must be ensured due to the hose materials used.
