TC-4506 Dual-purpose Coating Thickness Gauge:

F1 Coating Thickness Gauge Principle: Measures the change in magnetic attraction between the magnet (probe) and the base metal due to the presence of a coating; or measures the change in magnetic reluctance through the coating and the base metal magnetic circuit. It can non-destructively measure the thickness of non-magnetic coatings on magnetic metal substrates (such as zinc, aluminum, chromium, copper, rubber, paint, etc., on steel, iron, alloys, and hard magnetic steel).

N1 Coating Thickness Gauge Principle: Eddy current coating thickness gauge: Utilizes the high-frequency magnetic field generated by the probe device to induce eddy currents in the conductor beneath the probe. The amplitude and phase of these eddy currents are a function of the thickness of the non-conductive coating between the conductor and the probe. It can non-destructively measure the thickness of non-conductive coatings on non-magnetic metal substrates (such as paint, rubber, plastic, oxide film, etc., on metals like copper, aluminum, zinc, tin).

Application Scope:

Dual-purpose Coating Thickness Gauge is used for measuring the thickness of electroplated layers, paint layers, fireproof layers, anti-corrosion layers, enamel layers, aluminum tiles, copper tiles, Babbitt alloy tiles, phosphating layers, and paper. It can also be used for measuring the thickness of hull paint and attachments on underwater structures. Widely used in manufacturing, metal processing, chemical industry, commodity inspection, and other testing fields.

Product Features:

● Utilizes both magnetic and eddy current thickness measurement methods, allowing measurement of non-magnetic coating thickness on magnetic metal substrates and non-conductive coating thickness on non-magnetic metal substrates;

● Supports multiple probes (F1, F1/90°F10, N1);

● Offers two measurement modes: continuous measurement (CONTINUE) and single measurement (SINGLE); two operating modes: direct mode (DIRECT) and group mode (A-B);

● Includes five statistical measures: average (MEAN), maximum (MAX), minimum (MIN), number of tests (NO.), standard deviation (S.DEV);

● Supports single-point calibration and two-point calibration for instrument calibration, and basic calibration method to correct systematic errors of the probe;

● Storage function: Can store up to 500 measurement values;

● Delete function: Allows deletion of individual suspicious data during measurement or all data in the storage area to facilitate new measurements;

● Limit setting: Automatically alerts for measurements outside the set limits;

● Low battery indicator function;

● Audible buzzer prompts during operation;

● Error prompt function: Provides error alerts via screen display or buzzer sound;

● Two shutdown modes: manual shutdown and automatic shutdown;
