Main Properties:

822S is specially developed by the DP & Chemical Products Division of Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd., Japan, based on chlorinated polypropylene resin, and is used as a primer for polypropylene materials. Polypropylene plastic is lightweight, low-cost, and possesses excellent physical properties, chemical resistance, and heat resistance, making it widely applicable. However, its crystalline structure and non-polar surface result in adhesion difficulties, limiting its applications. Superchlon 822S addresses this issue, as it exhibits excellent adhesion to both polypropylene plastic and topcoats made of polyurethane, acrylic, amino, epoxy, or alkyd resins. Superchlon 822S is commonly used as an adhesion promoter in polyolefin automotive bumper coatings. Additionally, Superchlon 822S can establish structural adhesion between polypropylene and other materials, such as aluminum foil, fiber paper, polyester, and other plastics.
