It features a 7-inch outdoor-enhanced touchscreen for a convenient user experience. It also comes with an intuitive Windows-like GUI, making it user-friendly and efficient. Additionally, it employs an OTDR environment that provides icon-based functions, quick startup, an automatic macrobend finder, and enhanced automatic and real-time modes. It is suitable for metropolitan area networks and optimized for testing through optical splitters, enabling end-to-end FTTH qualification and fiber fault troubleshooting.

Equipped with a lithium battery offering up to 12 hours of battery life, it ensures worry-free operation. It provides plug-and-play hardware options such as a Visual Fault Locator (VFL), power meter, and USB tools, making technicians' work easier.

The 700D series utilizes a smart application called "Optical Eye." This iOLM software simplifies complex trace analysis with just a single click.

The metropolitan area network OTDR is optimized for testing through optical splitters (capable of testing 1x128), ensuring end-to-end FTTH measurements. Moreover, it offers multiple optional dynamic ranges and various selectable test wavelengths. The 1650 nm band with online testing functionality allows efficient testing of live networks without affecting other customer signals.

The 730D supports security management options, allowing administrators to define and load tamper-resistant security profiles on the MaxTester, display attribute messages on the home screen, and protect them with user passwords (permanent or updatable).
