The Jiangsu Provincial Agricultural Hormone Engineering Technology Research Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Center") was established in April 1999. Located in the Changzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone of Jiangsu Province, it is a provincial-level engineering technology research center approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology. It is also recognized as a provincial high-tech enterprise, a postdoctoral workstation (sub-station), the Jiangsu Provincial Postdoctoral Technology Innovation Center, a provincial-level enterprise technology center, a provincial "Three Medicines" engineering demonstration base, a provincial open laboratory, and an innovative pilot enterprise in Changzhou. Additionally, it has been designated by the Ministry of Science and Technology as a national base for the development of high-efficiency herbicides. The "Center" holds its own import and export rights and operates two standardized production bases, with a current workforce of 420 employees. It has successively obtained ISO14001 Environmental Management System certification and ISO9001 Quality Management System certification. In 2019, the "Center" achieved sales revenue of 1.02 billion yuan.

        The "Center" specializes in the research, development, engineering transformation, production, and operation of green pesticides. It employs 120 scientific and technical personnel, including 7 with doctoral degrees, over 40 with master's degrees, more than 70 with bachelor's degrees, and 8 senior engineers. Over 90% of the technical staff have extensive professional design and research experience. The Center has established a well-equipped technology research platform, including a 6,000 m2 laboratory. It is equipped with advanced domestic and international instruments, such as one 500M nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer, two gas chromatography-mass spectrometers, two liquid chromatography-mass spectrometers, one Fourier-transform infrared spectrometer, 25 high-performance liquid chromatographs, and 10 gas chromatographs. A comprehensive library is also available, housing 200,000 volumes of professional journals, including Chemical Abstracts, as well as various electronic databases, enabling independent completion of major research on new varieties. The company's physicochemical testing laboratory, established in accordance with OECD GLP guidelines, obtained OECD GLP certification in 2014, with certification scope covering physicochemical property testing and full component analysis. In 2018, this laboratory was among the first to receive qualification as a pesticide registration testing unit from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

       The "Center" has successively completed four national key scientific and technological research projects during the "Ninth Five-Year Plan" and "Tenth Five-Year Plan" periods, two international cooperation projects, one Longcheng Talent Project, one China Postdoctoral Special Funding, four China Postdoctoral General Fundings, five Jiangsu Provincial Shuangchuang Postdoctoral Projects, four Jiangsu Provincial Postdoctoral Research Fundings, and 12 other provincial and ministerial-level projects. It has also collaborated with universities such as Zhejiang University, Wuhan University, Nanjing Agricultural University, Jiangsu University, Yangzhou University, and Soochow University to undertake 12 postdoctoral research projects. The "Center" has received two provincial science and technology progress awards and 29 provincial and municipal scientific and technological achievement appraisals. It has applied for 103 patents, including 63 authorized domestic invention patents and two foreign patents. Additionally, 29 products have been recognized as provincial high-tech products, and 57 as municipal high-tech products.
