The entire manufacturing process is completed in modern factories using hot-press forming technology. Due to the high thermal conductivity between the aluminum skin and the honeycomb core, the thermal expansion and contraction of the inner and outer aluminum skins are synchronized. The aluminum honeycomb skin features small holes that allow free airflow within the panel. The sliding installation buckle system prevents structural deformation during thermal expansion and contraction. The panel primarily uses high-quality 3003H24 alloy aluminum sheets or 5052AH14 high-manganese alloy aluminum sheets as the base material, with a panel thickness of 0.8–1.5 mm, finished with fluorocarbon roll coating or color-resistant baked paint. Color-resistant baked paint outperforms PVDF in scratch resistance, acid rain corrosion resistance, color retention, and self-cleaning properties. The backplate thickness ranges from 0.6 to 1.0 mm, and the total thickness is 25 mm.

The core material consists of hexagonal 3003-type aluminum honeycomb cores, with aluminum foil thickness ranging from 0.04 to 0.06 mm and side lengths of 5–6 mm. Roll-forming technology is employed to shape the front and back surfaces, and fully automated machinery is used for edge folding, ensuring tight interlocking of the front and back skins at the installation edges. The entire manufacturing process is completed in modern factories using hot-press forming technology. Due to the high thermal conductivity between the aluminum skin and the honeycomb core, the thermal expansion and contraction of the inner and outer aluminum skins are synchronized. The aluminum honeycomb skin features small holes that allow free airflow within the panel. The sliding installation buckle system prevents structural deformation during thermal expansion and contraction, ensuring extremely high flatness. The adhesive used is a two-component polyurethane high-temperature curing glue. The panels are formed under pressure and high temperature using fully automated honeycomb panel composite production equipment, overcoming the brittleness issues of previous honeycomb panel adhesive layers. The inner layer is a specially designed hexagonal aluminum honeycomb, made from H19-hardness aluminum alloy, which acts as a core board adhered within the sandwich structure, bearing pressure tangentially. These densely interconnected honeycombs function like numerous small I-beams, distributing pressure from the panel direction evenly and ensuring high flatness even over large surface areas.

Installation is performed on both sides without mechanical damage. The sliding installation buckle system accommodates thermal expansion and contraction, while anti-slip buckles at the bottom of the panel control the direction of expansion. The 25mm hidden seam system is aesthetically pleasing and self-cleaning. The completed box-type honeycomb panels integrate the inner and outer sheets with the honeycomb structure. Additionally, the hollow honeycomb significantly reduces the panel's thermal expansion.

Due to their excellent properties such as resistance to high wind pressure, shock absorption, sound insulation, thermal insulation, flame retardancy, and high specific strength, honeycomb materials have been widely used in various civil fields abroad since the 1960s and have developed rapidly. In China, honeycomb technology has only recently been applied in various civil industries. Aluminum honeycomb panel curtain walls are widely used for high-rise building exterior decoration due to their lightweight, high strength, and high rigidity.
