Properties and uses

The oilfield demulsifier OFC - 609 is a reverse demulsifier and a composite polymer water treatment agent. It has a large number of positive charge groups on the main chain of its molecules and is a type of cationic polymer with unique properties.

• The oilfield demulsifier has a strong reverse demulsification ability. It can effectively improve the interfacial tension of water-in-oil (W/O) or oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions, making the oil or colloidal particles in the sewage lose their repulsive and attractive forces. As a result, they lose their stability and form flocs. Furthermore, through chemical bridging, it can complete the separation of oil and water as well as harmful impurities in the sewage, achieving the goals of recovering oil products and purifying the sewage.
• The Exlen demulsifier is widely used in various wastewater and waste liquid treatment and purification projects, such as those in petroleum exploitation, processing and refining, machinery manufacturing and processing, iron and steel, coking, papermaking, chemical fiber textiles, chemical industry, and urban areas. It can effectively break oil-in-water emulsions, shorten the oil-water separation time, be miscible with water, and be effective within a wide pH value range.

Usage

• Add 10 - 1000 ppm of the demulsifier to the oily wastewater (the specific dosage can be determined according to on-site tests), and stir for 1 - 2 minutes, then the demulsification can be achieved rapidly.
• This demulsifier has a synergistic effect. Adding 5 - 100 ppm of PAC, PFAC or PFC before or after adding the demulsifier can quickly clarify the water quality.
• The purpose of rapid demulsification and separation can be achieved by adjusting the dosage of the demulsifier and the pH value of the wastewater.
