2222XHD Nickel-Based Alloy Welding Electrode

• Composition: It is a nickel-based alloy welding electrode containing alloying elements such as Ni, Cr, Mo, Mn, etc.
• Performance Characteristics:
  • Mechanical Properties: High tensile strength with a typical value of 90,000 psi (620 N/mm2), yield strength of 65,000 psi (450 N/mm2), minimum elongation (1=5d) of 42%, and hardness of BHN 180. Maintains high strength in both high-temperature (1200°F) and low-temperature environments.
  • Crack Resistance: Excellent crack resistance, particularly effective in preventing cracks caused by thermal and cold stresses when welding large-section steel.
  • Processability: The electrode is easy to operate, suitable for welding large sections of various steels, and can be used in flame hardening equipment.
• Applications: Suitable for welding critical load-bearing components in high-temperature and low-temperature environments, such as heat treatment trays and baskets, ingot tongs, continuous casting molds, guide guards for section steel rolling mills, and liquefied natural gas processing pumps.
• Welding Process: Remove contaminants from the welding surface, especially oil and grease, and lightly grind the surface to remove scale. Preheating is generally not required unless the workpiece has a large cross-section or high air-hardening tendency, in which case a preheating temperature of 250 - 300°F is recommended. Use a lower actual current range during welding, employ a medium-short arc length and straight weld beads, terminate the weld on the end block and retract, or use the "side-start technique." Adopt a balanced welding sequence to minimize base metal overheating, and thoroughly remove slag after welding.

5003 High-Hardness Chromium Carbide Welding Electrode

• Composition: It is a high-quality welding material containing high-hardness chromium carbide, providing excellent wear resistance and impact resistance.
• Performance Characteristics:
  • Hardness: Post-weld hardness can reach HRC 63 - 68, maintaining high hardness even at 650°C. It exhibits extremely high wear resistance, with a friction coefficient five times lower than that of ordinary chromium carbide.
  • Impact Resistance: Capable of withstanding moderate impact forces.
  • Weldability: Offers good welding process performance, extremely low dilution rate, slag-free weld beads, and allows for rapid welding.
• Applications: Suitable for components requiring wear and impact resistance, such as augers, crusher liners, scrapers, dredge pumps, bucket teeth, and lip plates.
