Coated O-rings, also known as fluorocarbon-coated O-rings or coated O-rings, are sealing components composed of a relatively thick inner core made of materials such as silicone rubber or fluororubber, combined with a relatively thin outer coating of PTFE, FEP, PFA, or other materials. This product combines the elasticity and sealing properties of O-ring rubber materials with the chemical resistance of polytetrafluoroethylene, FEP, PFA, and other materials, offering excellent sealing performance. Main Features

Excellent chemical resistance, suitable for almost all chemical media, such as strong oxidizing and strong reducing solvents, with strong resistance to corrosion from strong acids and alkalis; a very wide applicable temperature range, from -200°C to +260°C; excellent compression resistance, ≥30%; extremely low friction coefficient, only between 0.1~0.2; good anti-swelling property ≤0.1%; extremely high pressure resistance, up to 60 MPa; excellent continuous sealing performance, extending service life by more than 5 times.

Hardness Description:

The average hardness of coated O-rings made from different materials is as follows:

Hollow silicone rubber: 75-80

Solid silicone rubber: 85-90

Solid fluororubber: 90-95

Material Description:

FEP and PFA, the two coating materials, are essentially very similar, but PFA material has better high-temperature resistance than FEP. The applicable temperature range for FEP is -60°C to 205°C, while for PFA it is -60°C to 260°C.
