EDTMPS is a nitrogen-containing organic polyphosphonic acid, classified as a cathodic corrosion inhibitor. Compared to inorganic polyphosphates, it offers 3-5 times higher corrosion inhibition efficiency. EDTMPS is water-miscible and can chelate with multiple metal ions, forming a large molecular network complex with multiple monomer structures that disperses loosely in water, thereby disrupting the normal crystallization of calcium scale.
