Working Principle of Water Softening Equipment:

Raw water passes through cation and anion exchange resins to remove ions such as calcium, magnesium, and sodium. The resulting water consists only of water molecules, free from other ions, effectively preventing scale formation.
Water hardness is mainly caused by calcium and magnesium ions. When raw water containing hardness passes through the resin layer of the softening equipment, calcium and magnesium ions are adsorbed by the resin while sodium ions are released. The water flowing out of the resin tank is softened water with hardness ions removed. Once the resin becomes saturated with adsorbed calcium and magnesium ions, the hardness of the output water increases. At this point, the softening equipment automatically initiates the regeneration process according to a preset program, using a high-concentration saline solution to restore the exhausted resin to its sodium form.
