Automatic Backwash and Regeneration Softening Tank The softening tank is filled with sodium-type cation exchange resin. Through ion exchange reactions, the resin reduces water hardness, preventing calcium and magnesium ions from combining with carbonate and sulfate ions to form scale in subsequent water treatment equipment or pipelines. Precision Filter The precision filter, also known as a safety filter, typically has a filtration accuracy of 5μm. Its role is to intercept all substances with a particle size larger than 5μm to meet the inlet water requirements of the reverse osmosis system. Reverse Osmosis The key to reverse osmosis technology lies in the performance of the reverse osmosis membrane, which is responsible for desalination. The reverse osmosis membrane is a semi-permeable membrane that allows only water molecules to pass through while blocking solutes.
