It is an austenitic non-magnetic mold steel with high strength from the HPM series. It maintains a stable austenitic structure under various conditions and has very low magnetic permeability. The high hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and non-magnetic properties of HPM75 non-magnetic steel are comparable to many mold characteristics of stainless steel SUS304; thus, it is most suitable for mold products requiring high corrosion and wear resistance. Gas nitrocarburizing heat treatment can further enhance surface hardness and wear resistance, thereby extending mold service life. HPM75 non-magnetic steel is prone to work hardening, so low-speed processing is recommended.
