Features of Samson SAMSON Positioner:
(1) The Samson positioner is used for important regulation systems with high requirements for regulation quality to improve the positioning accuracy and reliability of control valves.
(2) Suitable for applications with a large pressure difference at both ends of the gate (Δp > 1 MPa). By increasing the air supply pressure, the output force of the actuator is enhanced to overcome the unbalanced force exerted by the fluid on the valve core,
reducing travel error.
(3) When the medium being regulated is high-temperature, high-pressure, low-temperature, toxic, flammable, or explosive, the packing is tightly compressed to prevent external leakage, resulting in significant friction between the stem and the packing.
In such cases, the positioner can overcome time delay.
(4) When regulating fluids or adhesives, the positioner can alter the resistance to stem movement.
(5) Used for large-diameter (Dg > 100 mm) control valves to increase the output thrust of the actuator.
(6) When the regulator and the actuator are 60 m apart, using the positioner to control signal transmission improves the response speed of the gate operation.
(7) Used to improve the flow characteristics of the control valve.
(8) When one regulator controls two actuators for split-range control, two regulators can be used, connected to low and high input signals respectively, or one actuator operates with a low input signal
while the other operates with a high input signal, thus achieving split-range regulation.
