Technical Principle of Oxygen Generators for the Glass Industry

Compressed air undergoes pretreatment to remove oil, dust, and other solid impurities as well as most gaseous water, then enters an adsorption tower filled with zeolite molecular sieve (ZMS). Nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and water vapor in the air are adsorbed by the adsorbent, while oxygen passes through the adsorption bed and is separated.

When the adsorbed impurities in the tower reach a certain level, they are desorbed into the atmosphere to regenerate the adsorbent. The adsorption separation system, composed of two or three towers, cycles and switches under the automatic control of a PLC or DCS system to achieve continuous oxygen production.
