| Physical and Chemical Properties | The hydrochloride salt is a white or nearly white crystalline powder, odorless, with a bitter taste. Sinters at 218°C, solidifies again at 225°C. Melting point 235°C (decomposition). Soluble in water, slightly soluble in hot ethanol, insoluble in ether. |
