Application of Fengda FD® Teflon Heat Exchangers:

       The full English name for Teflon is Polytetrafluoroethylene, abbreviated as Teflon, PTFE, F4, etc. Due to pronunciation reasons, it is often referred to as Teflon, Teflon, Teflon, Teflon, etc. (all transliterations of Teflon). Teflon possesses comprehensive advantages that other materials cannot match, especially the temperature characteristics and corrosion resistance of Teflon material in heat exchanger applications, making Teflon heat exchangers widely used in corrosion-resistant industries such as chemical, pickling, electroplating, pharmaceutical, anodizing, etc. In the electroplating and chemical industries, they are used to connect steam or chillers to heat or cool tank liquids to the required working temperature.

Fengda FD® Teflon Heat Exchanger Structure:

      Teflon tube heat exchangers are made from PFA, PTFE, and FEP capillary tubes, with standard tube diameters of 4.5MM, 6MM, and 12MM, and wall thicknesses of 0.7mm, 0.8mm, and 1mm. The main structural forms include shell-and-tube and immersion types. They offer unparalleled chemical stability and thermal stability (-250°C to 260°C).

      The F4 heat exchanger tube sheets and tube bundles (capillary tubes of φ3–10mm) are sintered using advanced powder metallurgy processes, delivering excellent performance. Through unique and advanced welding methods, the connection strength between the Teflon heat exchanger tube bundles and tube sheets reaches 1.5 Mpa. They are widely used in heat exchange equipment and are ideal materials for tubular heat exchangers, coil heat exchangers, and condensers.

Fengda FD® Teflon Heat Exchanger Performance:

      Teflon heat exchangers offer corrosion resistance and anti-aging properties. Due to their excellent temperature resistance, they are suitable for both steam heating and hot water heating.

      Teflon material is non-stick, providing good anti-fouling properties. The chemical inertness, smooth surface, flexibility, and high expansion coefficient of polytetrafluoroethylene tubes make it difficult for fouling to form on the heat transfer surface, significantly reducing equipment maintenance frequency and ensuring relatively stable heat transfer coefficients and long-term operational production.

      Teflon heat exchangers exhibit excellent anti-aging performance. Since Teflon contains no photosensitive genes, it offers outstanding resistance to atmospheric aging. In highly corrosive media, its service life is 20 to 30 times that of stainless steel.

      Teflon heat exchangers provide good heat transfer performance. The use of thin-walled tubes with thicknesses of only 0.7mm, 0.8mm, and 1mm overcomes the drawback of Teflon material's low thermal conductivity.

      Teflon heat exchangers have low resistance. Due to Teflon's very low friction coefficient, low roughness, and excellent lubrication properties, the fluid resistance within the tube bundles is lower than that of metal tubes.
