Overhead insulated cable is a type of insulated cable used for overhead or outdoor suspension. 1kV overhead insulated cables consist of copper or aluminum conductors, weather-resistant cross-linked polyethylene, or weather-resistant black high-density polyethylene insulation. 10kV overhead insulated cables are composed of copper or aluminum conductors, conductor shielding, weather-resistant cross-linked polyethylene insulation, and insulation shielding. Overhead insulated cables must possess excellent mechanical, physical, electrical, and atmospheric resistance properties. Compared to power cables, overhead insulated cables have smaller installation clearances and lower line voltages, reducing the occurrence of power supply incidents.
