1. Introduction to Workplace Hazardous Substances

Occupational exposure limit values for hazardous factors refer to the permissible exposure levels that do not cause harmful effects to the health of the vast majority of workers after long-term repeated exposure during occupational activities. Occupational exposure limits for chemical hazardous factors include three categories: time-weighted average permissible concentration, short-term exposure permissible concentration, and maximum permissible concentration.

Chemical hazardous factors include not only chemical substances and dust but also biological factors.
