The GUL30 and GUL60 mining intrinsically safe radar level sensors are developed using advanced Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar level measurement technology, offering higher measurement accuracy and stability. Their high anti-interference capability allows for broader application environments. As mining intrinsically safe equipment, they are primarily used for measuring coal bunker levels, on-site display, and transmitting signals to upper computers or integrated control stations, enabling accurate real-time monitoring of coal levels and bunker operations.

>Working Principle

FMCW frequency modulated continuous wave measurement technology differs from traditional ultrasonic or pulse radar wave measurement techniques. The FMCW radar level meter operates based on the principle of frequency modulated continuous waves, using linear frequency modulation high-frequency signals. The emission frequency of the radar level meter's high-frequency signal increases linearly over a certain time interval (sweep frequency). Since the emission frequency changes with the signal propagation time and is proportional to the distance of the reflective object, the level height is determined by the difference between the current emission frequency and the received reflection frequency.
