A new generation hybrid variety, the apple-shaped bitter gourd features dense, bright white pearl-like bumps on its surface, with a sugar content of up to 6 degrees. It has a crisp, sweet, and juicy taste, a thick and plump fruit shape, beautiful shoulders, early maturity, robust growth, strong fruiting ability, and a long harvesting period. The fruit is bright and attractive, with an average weight of about 500 grams. It takes approximately 18 days from flowering to harvest. The flesh is exceptionally thick, with a mild and balanced bitterness and a slightly sweet, refreshing, and thirst-quenching taste. It is particularly juicy, making it ideal for juicing. After shading, the skin becomes even whiter and more vibrant, appearing lovely and enticing. The entire fruit is milky white, resembling carved white jade, with deeply etched patterns and pearl-like bumps on the surface, earning it the name "Pearl White Jade Bitter Gourd."

The apple bitter gourd was developed by Taiwanese farmers and improved through breeding by agricultural research stations. It features dense, bright white pearl-like bumps on its surface, a sugar content of up to 6 degrees, a crisp, sweet, and juicy taste, a thick and plump fruit shape, beautiful shoulders, early maturity, robust growth, strong fruiting ability, and a long harvesting period. In Taiwan, the fruiting period lasts 180 to 210 days, with a yield of over 3,000 kilograms per mu.
