LC-TS6 Molten Iron Quality Management Instrument

I. Application Principle

The LC-TS6 Molten Iron Quality Management Instrument is a new generation of molten iron management equipment produced by our company, featuring stable performance and high measurement accuracy. It captures a large amount of thermal effect information during the solidification of molten iron in real time, quickly and accurately, by analyzing the cooling curve of the iron's microstructure temperature change over time in a sample cup. Through a series of complex data processing, it rapidly and accurately determines the carbon content, silicon content, carbon equivalent, tensile strength, initial crystallization temperature, and eutectic temperature of the molten iron.

Unlike spectrochemical analysis, thermal analysis measures the process of cast iron microstructure formation, which is the comprehensive result of the influence of all elements in the molten iron on the formation of the cast iron structure. It detects the effective equivalent content in the molten iron.

Accurately measuring each element concentrated in the molten iron, determining the specific content of each element, and understanding the direction and extent of each element's influence on the formation of the cast iron structure are tasks that cannot be completed within the waiting time available for molten iron in front of the furnace. Even if possible, adjusting the content of each element to the specified range is not feasible.

Thermal analysis, however, can directly measure the comprehensive effect of different contents of all elements on the formation of the cast iron structure and directly adjust the comprehensive result to achieve the desired cast iron microstructure. This is a significant advantage of thermal analysis compared to other detection methods and the reason why it is widely adopted in foundries in developed countries.

The detection time of the LC-TS6 Molten Iron Quality Management Instrument is approximately 2 minutes, completing the test within the waiting time of the molten iron. Based on the automatically calculated amounts of carburizer, ferrosilicon, and scrap steel to be added, the composition of the molten iron is adjusted. After obtaining the suitable molten iron composition, casting is performed.

II. Features

1. Fully designed for industrial environments, vertical structure, stable and reliable performance, easy to operate.

2. Target material selection (FC, FCD): Up to 10 commonly used materials can be set.

3. Used for rapid determination of carbon equivalent CE%, carbon content C%, silicon content Si%, and estimated tensile strength (FC) of raw molten iron in front of the furnace.

4. Wide measurement range: C%: 2.8%-4.2%, Si%: 0.9%-3.0%, CE%: 3.2%-4.83%.

5. High measurement accuracy and good stability. Accuracy of C% is within 0.05%, and Si% is within 0.1%.

6. Fast measurement speed, with a measurement time of about 2 minutes, facilitating composition adjustment in front of the furnace.

7. Carbon and silicon value compensation correction: Silicon and carbon values can be adjusted and compensated based on data from chemical analysis or spectrometers.

8. Cooling curve and measurement data (CE, C%, Si%, TL, TE) are displayed simultaneously, clear and intuitive.

9. When the measured value is not within the upper and lower limits of the target value, flashing up and down arrows will appear as a reminder.

10. Based on the measured composition content, set molten iron weight, target composition, and material retention rate, it automatically calculates the material deficiency, facilitating rapid adjustment of carburizer, ferrosilicon, and scrap steel addition amounts in front of the furnace to bring C% and Si% within the target limits.

11. Up to ten calibration lines can be set simultaneously to adapt to different types of application scenarios.

12. Rich input/output and communication functions, capable of communicating with computers.

13. Automatic printing option: Can be paired with any printer to quickly print curves and measurement data.

III. Main Technical Parameters

1. Carbon content C% detection: Measurement range 2.8~4.2%, measurement accuracy ≤ ±0.05%

2. Silicon content Si% detection: Measurement range 0.9~3.0%, measurement accuracy ≤ ±0.1%

3. Carbon equivalent CE% detection: Measurement range 3.2~4.8%, measurement accuracy ≤ ±0.1%

4. Intuitively displays the cooling curve on the screen.

5. Any number of formulas can be set for use in calibration lines.

6. Up to ten calibration lines can be set to meet the measurement of carbon and silicon content in different materials.

7. Automatically calculates the amount of materials to be added based on material requirements and measurement results.
