Fludarabine is highly effective against B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), particularly in patients who have not responded to conventional treatment regimens. It is also used in preconditioning regimens for aplastic anemia;

Nelarabine is used for the treatment of patients with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) and T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (T-LBL) who have not responded to or have relapsed after at least two chemotherapy regimens.
