This Omron ultra-compact relay is suitable for motor and resistance control, offering excellent performance under high load. The G8K supports ultra-low voltage activation. It can operate continuously for 100,000 cycles under a 26A motor load and supports PIP reflow soldering processes. The terminal pin layout of the G8K includes SPDT (1 Form C) and SPDT (1 Form C×2), enabling PCB space miniaturization. It also facilitates double-layer board soldering, with fewer residues between the relay base and the PCB board, making cleaning easier.

The G8K is one of Omron's smaller automotive relays, with a volume 22% smaller than another product, the G8NB, yet capable of switching 30A current. The terminal design effectively reduces PCB board area, helping customers achieve product miniaturization. It is easier to perform double-layer board soldering. At the same time, there is less residue between the relay base and the PCB board, making cleaning easier. The protective design prevents contaminants such as impurities from entering the relay, avoiding operational failure. The contact layout design is more conducive to PCB board design. It offers strong noise reduction, with performance within 30–40 decibels, providing a quiet and comfortable environment. Test conditions: Using the TSSI-300-130 relay standard test method, sound measurement was conducted in a soundproof room at 23.5°C using an NL-21 EI-003 sound level meter. The maximum value from five consecutive tests was selected for calculation.
