The FBQ-type water-sealed explosion-proof device is installed on the pipeline at the suction and exhaust ends of the gas extraction pump. It relies on the water seal at the bottom to protect the safety of surface and underground equipment, gas extraction pump stations, and users. During gas extraction, the gas enters the water through the intake elbow, separates from the water, and is discharged through the outlet elbow. The water seal isolates the intake and outlet pipelines. In the event of an explosion at one end, the water seal prevents the explosion from propagating. At this time, the pressure relief device's rubber plate is blown open to release pressure, ensuring the safety of surface and underground equipment, gas extraction pump stations, and users.

Working Principle of the Water-Sealed Explosion-Proof Device

The isolation principle relies on the bottom blow-through mechanism, similar to the bubbling structure in hospital oxygen tanks with water. If a fire or accident occurs downstream, it will only affect the area above the water seal, and the combustible gas in the underwater pipeline will not ignite, preventing a chain reaction.
