Refractory castables exhibit excellent high-temperature resistance, thermal shock resistance, castability, and bonding strength, making them widely applicable in industrial settings. Typically composed of refractory aggregates, powders, and binders, their physical and chemical properties as well as construction performance can be further enhanced by adding appropriate admixtures such as plasticizers and dispersants. Additionally, incorporating stainless steel fibers or inorganic fibers significantly improves the material's toughness and thermal insulation properties. Due to their simple production process, labor and energy savings, high construction efficiency, and superior quality, refractory castables have become a widely used and versatile type of unshaped refractory material in furnace construction projects.

The primary applications of refractory castables include but are not limited to:

• High-temperature equipment in industries such as metallurgy, glass, chemicals, and power generation, including blast furnaces, kilns, melting furnaces, and heat treatment furnaces, which can withstand extreme temperatures while offering excellent thermal shock resistance and resistance to chemical erosion.
• Mullite refractory castables, made from mullite as aggregates and powders combined with specific binders, possess high mechanical strength and excellent thermal shock and abrasion resistance. • Linings for industrial furnace doors, sight holes, observation ports, and other components, suitable for applications including petrochemical industry tubular heating furnaces, light diesel and ethane cracking furnace linings, atmospheric and vacuum distillation furnaces, sulfur recovery units, steam boilers, turtle mesh insulation layers, and insulation for dual-vessel cylinders and pipelines.
