Process Flow


1. Raw Water Tank
Stores raw water to allow large sediment particles and other settleable substances in the water to precipitate. It also buffers the impact of unstable water pressure in the raw water pipeline on the water treatment system (e.g., pressure sensor responses due to excessively low or high water pressure).
2. Raw Water Pump
Maintains a constant water supply pressure and stabilizes the water supply volume.
3. Multi-Media Filter
Utilizes a filter with multiple filtration layers, primarily aimed at removing particles larger than 20um from the raw water, such as sediment, rust, colloidal substances, and suspended solids. It can be operated manually via valves or automatically via a controller for backwashing, forward washing, and other operations. This ensures the quality of the water produced and extends the equipment's service life.
4. Activated Carbon Filter
The system employs a shell-based activated carbon filter. Activated carbon not only adsorbs electrolyte ions but also performs ion exchange adsorption. Through activated carbon adsorption, the potassium permanganate oxygen consumption (COD) can be reduced from 15mg/L (O2) to 2–7mg/L (O2). Additionally, due to adsorption, the concentration of surface-adsorbed replicas increases, which also plays a catalytic role. It removes pigments, odors, a large amount of biochemical organic matter, reduces residual chlorine levels, pesticide pollutants, and eliminates trihalomethanes (THM) and other contaminants from the water. The equipment also features a self-maintenance system with low operating costs.
5. Ion Softening System/Dosing System
For the reverse osmosis (R/O) unit, to manage the concentrated discharge of dissolved solids and the utilization of freshwater, and to prevent the concentration product of substances such as CaCO3, MgCO3, MgSO4, CaSO4, BaSO4, SrSO4, and SiSO4 at the concentrated water end—particularly on the concentrated water side of the last membrane module of the RO unit—from exceeding their equilibrium solubility constants and crystallizing, which would damage the membrane's inherent properties, an ion softening device or an appropriate amount of scale inhibitor should be used before the water enters the reverse osmosis membrane module to prevent the crystallization of carbonates, SiO2, and sulfates.
6. Precision Filter
Employs a precision filter to remove residual suspended solids, non-straight particles, and colloids from the incoming water, ensuring safer and more reliable operation of subsequent equipment like the RO system. The filter element is a 5um melt-blown cartridge designed to remove impurities larger than 5um that were missed by the previous filtration unit, preventing them from entering the reverse osmosis device and damaging the membrane surface, thereby preserving the membrane's desalination performance.
7. Reverse Osmosis System
The reverse osmosis unit applies sufficient pressure to separate the solvent (usually water) from the solution through a reverse osmosis membrane (or semi-permeable membrane). This process is called reverse osmosis because it is the opposite of natural osmosis. Reverse osmosis can adapt to raw water with various salinity levels, especially in high-salinity water treatment projects, delivering excellent technical and economic benefits. It offers high desalination rates, high recovery rates, stable operation, small footprint, and ease of operation. While desalinating, reverse osmosis equipment also removes most bacteria, colloids, and high-molecular-weight organic matter.
8. Ozone Sterilizer/UV Sterilizer (Optional)
Eliminates bacteria resulting from secondary contamination, thoroughly ensuring the sanitary standards of the finished water.
