TDI for industrial use is a common type of polyisocyanate, and polyisocyanates are essential raw materials for polyurethane (PU) materials. The TDI commonly used in the polyurethane industry is a mixture of two isomers: 2,4-TDI and 2,6-TDI, including three common grades: TDI-80/20, TDI-100, and TDI-65/35. The preceding number indicates the content of 2,4-TDI in the composition. For example, the 80 in TDI-80/20 indicates that its composition is 80% 2,4-TDI and 20% 2,6-TDI; the 100 in TDI-100 indicates that it is essentially all 2,4-TDI (approximately 98%), with very little of the 2,6-TDI isomer. It is mainly used in the production of soft polyurethane foam, polyurethane elastomers, coatings, adhesives, etc.

Applications: Primarily used as a raw material for the production of polyurethane resins, for manufacturing polyurethane plastic foam, coatings, rubber, adhesives, sealants, etc. It can also be used as a rubber vulcanizing agent, protein cross-linking agent, etc.
