G3243 primer adhesive is suitable for bonding silicone rubber to stainless steel (metal) surfaces during vulcanization. G3243# is colorless and based on moisture-sensitive compounds, so it is extremely important to follow these rules when using G3243#:
1. Containers should only be opened briefly;
2. Do not return unused primer to the container;
3. The stainless steel (metal) surface to be covered with silicone rubber must be thoroughly cleaned before applying the primer. Surface cleaning can be done using low-boiling hydrocarbon solvents.
Application methods include spraying, dipping, or brushing (25-50g/m2). Products coated with G3243 must be air-dried for at least 35 minutes. It is recommended to dry the adhesive layer at room temperature for 1-2 hours. Drying time can be reduced by using an oven at 80-100°C for 10-30 minutes. Extended drying, such as 24 hours, is also possible, but protection from dirt and dust is necessary. After drying or baking, immediately apply the silicone rubber. For large-area applications or when rolling and bonding rubber-metal components require injection molding, bake at 120-140°C for 20-40 minutes, which helps prevent damage to the primer mold from high shear forces during curing.

G3243 is a tackifier for bonding silicone rubber to stainless steel (metal), enabling a strong bond between silicone rubber and stainless steel (metal). The stainless steel (metal) surface does not require special treatment—only thorough cleaning. It performs exceptionally well for large-area bonding.
G3243 is used for bonding high-temperature silicone rubber to stainless steel (metal) (maintaining original properties even under long-term use at 220°C).
G3243 is used for bonding high-temperature solid silicone rubber to metal. First, apply a thin layer of G3243 tackifier to the stainless steel (metal) surface. After drying, vulcanize with high-temperature solid silicone rubber. Experience shows that using aryl peroxides and aralkyl peroxides results in much better adhesion. Acyl peroxides should only be used when the substrate cannot withstand high temperatures.
