WackerG3244 Primer Adhesive

G3244 is a silicone roller adhesive, a high-temperature resistant adhesive for silicone rollers capable of withstanding 350 degrees. It is suitable for bonding silicone rubber to stainless steel (metal) surfaces during vulcanization. G3244 is based on a moisture-sensitive compound, so it is extremely important to follow the following rules when using G3244:
1. Containers should only be opened briefly;
2. Do not return unused primer to the container;
3. The stainless steel (metal) surface to be covered with silicone rubber must be thoroughly cleaned before applying the primer. Surface cleaning can be done using low-boiling hydrocarbon solvents.
It can be applied by spraying, dipping, or brushing (25-50g/m2). Products coated with G3244 must be air-dried for at least 15 minutes. It is recommended to dry the adhesive layer at room temperature for 1-2 hours. Using an oven at 80-100°C for 10-30 minutes can reduce drying time. It can also be dried for an extended period, such as 24 hours, but should be protected from dirt and dust. Immediately after the drying or baking process is completed, apply the silicone rubber. For large-area applications or when rollers and rubber-metal components require injection molding, baking at 120-140°C for 20-40 minutes is recommended. This is the **method to prevent the primer from being damaged by high shear forces during curing.
G3244 is an adhesive for bonding silicone to stainless steel (metal), enabling a strong bond between silicone and stainless steel (metal). The stainless steel (metal) surface does not require special treatment, only cleaning. It performs exceptionally well for large-area bonding.
G3244 is used for high-temperature silicone-to-metal bonding (maintaining original properties under long-term use at 220°C).G3244 is used for bonding high-temperature solid silicone to metal. First, apply a thin layer of G3244 tackifier on the stainless steel (metal) surface. After drying, proceed with vulcanization using high-temperature solid silicone.
