II. Suitable Applications

Araldite 2011 is a versatile adhesive. It is used by craftsmen as well as in most industrial settings, suitable for bonding metals, ceramics, glass, rubber, hard plastics, and most common materials.

III. Usage Instructions

1. Pretreatment: Bonding surfaces are recommended to be cleaned with acetone or isopropanol (for plastics) to remove oil stains, dirt, and dust. Do not use low-grade alcohol, gasoline, or paint thinner. For Araldite 2011, mechanically abraded or chemically cleaned surfaces can achieve higher strength and more durable bonding results.

2. Application: Araldite 2011 can be evenly applied using a spatula onto the pretreated bonding surfaces. Typically, an adhesive layer thickness of 0.05-0.10mm provides the maximum lap shear strength at the joint. After applying the adhesive, bonding parts should be assembled and clamped immediately.
