XP701 Barium Sulfonate Rust Inhibitor

Product Overview
Barium petroleum sulfonate is available in liquid and solid forms. It is derived from petroleum lubricant fractions through sulfonation and alcohol-water extraction, then saponified with barium salt and refined. It is used as an anti-rust additive in rust preventive oils. Liquid barium petroleum sulfonate is more convenient to use, unaffected by high temperatures, easier to store, and eliminates the need for melting during application. Barium petroleum sulfonate offers excellent resistance to humidity, salt spray, saline water, and possesses water displacement properties. It provides superior anti-rust protection for both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. When heated, it exhibits good oil solubility and can adsorb onto metal surfaces to form a protective film, thereby preventing metal corrosion and rust.

Applications
·Barium petroleum sulfonate is suitable for use as a rust inhibitor in anti-rust oils, such as in formulating displacement-type rust preventive oils, inter-process anti-rust oils, preservative oils, as well as lubricating and rust preventive dual-purpose oils and anti-rust greases.
