The belt spiral surface is also known as the D manufacturing method, with a spiral pitch equal to the spiral blade diameter, suitable for conveying powdered and small lump materials. (5) A screw conveyor consists of three main parts: the conveyor body, the inlet and outlet ports, and the drive unit. Vertical screw conveyors are suitable for short-distance vertical conveying. Flexible screw conveyors have a spiral made of a flexible shaft and synthetic rubber blades, allowing them to bend easily and be arranged arbitrarily according to site or process requirements for intermediate conveying. Screw conveyor blades can be either wound or integrally pulled. Wound blades can be made to any thickness and specification, while integrally pulled blades are not suitable for non-standard spirals.

Based on the direction of material displacement, screw conveyors are divided into two main types: horizontal screw conveyors and vertical screw conveyors. They are primarily used for horizontal conveying and vertical lifting of various loose materials such as powders, granules, and small lumps. This type of screw conveyor is not suitable for conveying special materials that are prone to spoilage, highly viscous, easily caked, high-temperature, pressure-sensitive, or highly corrosive.
