The screw conveyor generally consists of three main parts: the conveyor body, the inlet and outlet ports, and the drive device. The screw blades of the screw conveyor come in three forms: solid spiral surface, belt-type spiral surface, and blade-type spiral surface. Among these, the blade-type spiral surface is relatively less used and is mainly employed for conveying highly viscous and compressible materials. This type of spiral surface not only completes the conveying process but also simultaneously mixes and blends the materials. Classification and structural features: (1) The screw blades of the screw conveyor come in three types: solid spiral surface, belt-type spiral surface, and blade-type spiral surface. The solid spiral surface is referred to as the S type, with a pitch for the GX model being 0.8 times the blade diameter. The LS type screw conveyor is suitable for conveying powdery and granular materials. The belt-type spiral surface, also known as the D type, has a pitch equal to the screw blade diameter and is suitable for conveying powdery and small lump materials. The blade-type spiral surface is less commonly used and is mainly employed for conveying highly viscous and compressible materials. During the conveying process, it simultaneously completes mixing and blending operations, with a pitch approximately 1.2 times the screw blade diameter. (2) The screw blades of the screw conveyor come in two rotational directions: left-hand and right-hand. (3) The types of screw conveyors include horizontal fixed screw conveyors and vertical screw conveyors. The horizontal fixed screw conveyor is the most commonly used type. The vertical screw conveyor is used for short-distance lifting of materials, with a conveying height generally not exceeding 8m. The screw blades are of the solid surface type and must be fed by a horizontal screw to ensure the necessary feed pressure. (4) At the material outlet end of LS and GX type screw conveyors, a 1/2 to 1 turn reverse spiral blade should be installed to prevent material clogging at the end. (5) The screw conveyor consists of three parts: the screw machine body, the inlet and outlet ports, and the drive device. The screw machine body is composed of the head bearing, tail bearing, hanging bearing, screw, casing, cover plate, and base.
