The movement of the material at the intermediate bearing relies on the thrust from the material advancing behind it. Therefore, the transportation of material in the conveyor is entirely a sliding motion. To keep the spiral shaft in a more favorable tension state, the driving device and discharge outlet are generally placed at the same end of the conveyor, while the feed inlet is placed as close as possible to the other end near the tail.The rotating spiral blades push the material for transportation. The force that prevents the material from rotating with the spiral conveyor blades is the material's own weight and the frictional resistance of the conveyor casing against the material. The blade surface types include solid surface, belt surface, and blade surface, depending on the material being conveyed. At the terminal end of the material movement direction, the spiral shaft of the conveyor has a thrust bearing to withstand the axial reaction force from the material. For longer conveyor lengths, intermediate hanging bearings should be added.

(1) Regularly lubricate transmission parts such as bearings, gears, and chains. (2) After the conveyor is shut down, check the wear of the spiral blades and perform welding repairs if the wear is severe. (3) Do not overload the conveying capacity, as it may cause material blockage, bending of the spiral shaft, and damage to the casing. (4) When conveying high-temperature media, ensure that the casing expands and contracts freely without any obstruction; address any issues promptly.
