However, it is not suitable for conveying perishable, highly viscous, easily agglomerated, or large-sized materials. Based on the direction of material displacement, spiral conveyors are divided into two main types: horizontal spiral conveyors and vertical spiral conveyors. Classification and structural features:(1) The spiral blades of spiral conveyors come in three types: solid spiral face type, belt spiral face type, and blade spiral face type. The solid spiral face is referred to as the S method, with a spiral pitch of 0.8 times the blade diameter for the GX type, suitable for conveying powdered and granular materials. The belt spiral face, also known as the D method, has a spiral pitch equal to the spiral blade diameter and is suitable for conveying powdered and small lump materials. The blade spiral face is less commonly used, primarily for conveying highly viscous and compressible materials. During conveying, it simultaneously completes processes such as stirring and mixing, with a spiral pitch approximately 1.2 times the spiral blade diameter. (2) The spiral blades of spiral conveyors come in two rotational directions: left-hand and right-hand. (3) Types of spiral conveyors include horizontal fixed spiral conveyors and vertical spiral conveyors. The horizontal fixed spiral conveyor is a commonly used type. Vertical spiral conveyors are used for short-distance lifting of materials, with a conveying height generally not exceeding 8m. The spiral blades are of the solid face type and must be fed by a horizontal spiral to ensure the necessary feed pressure. (4) At the material outlet end of LS and GX type spiral conveyors, a 1/2 to 1 turn reverse spiral blade should be installed to prevent powder blockage at the end. (5) Spiral conveyors consist of three main parts: the spiral machine body, the inlet and outlet ports, and the drive unit.
