Sokalan®RO 400 is an aqueous solution of low molecular weight polyacrylate produced by BSAF. It is manufactured through a special polymerization process. It is a broad-spectrum scale inhibitor designed to prevent the formation of inorganic scale in membrane processes. Sokalan®RO 400 is a phosphorous-free chemical.

Sokalan®RO 400 scale inhibitor offers various performance and application advantages: 1. Inhibits reverse osmosis membrane scaling caused by the following substances: —Calcium carbonate (CaCO3); —Calcium sulfate (CaSO4); —Barium sulfate (BaSO4); 2. Reduces colloidal particles and silt contaminants on the membrane surface; 3. Compatible with synthetic film compounds (polyamide) and cellulose acetate reverse osmosis membranes from leading manufacturers; 4. Certified under ANSI/NSF Standard 60 for use in producing potable water.
