This product is a white or off-white crystalline powder, odorless with a bitter taste. It is soluble in ethanol and slightly soluble in water.

This product is a cationic surfactant of the biguanide class, exhibiting broad-spectrum antibacterial activity. It functions by altering the permeability of the bacterial cytoplasmic membrane, causing leakage of cellular contents and resulting in bactericidal effects. It is effective against most Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, and also shows strong antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. A notable feature of this product is its extremely low toxicity, with minimal irritation at usage concentrations upon skin contact.

 

This product is primarily used as a disinfectant in medical settings. For pre-operative hand disinfection, a 0.02% aqueous solution is used for soaking for 3 minutes. For surgical field disinfection, a 0.5% ethanol solution is applied by wiping. For skin or wound disinfection, a 1% ethanol spray or a 0.05% aqueous solution is used for rinsing wounds. It can also be used as a mouthwash for anti-inflammatory purposes, with a 0.02% aqueous solution for gargling. Additionally, it serves as a bactericidal component in disinfectant solutions, and is used as an active ingredient in wet wipes and towels for disinfection and preservation. This product can also be employed for disinfecting rooms, furniture, etc.

 

This product is packaged in 20 kg cardboard drums. It should be stored in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated area.

The shelf life of this product is 2 years.
