II. Performance
This product is partially soluble in distilled water and 5% saline solution, and soluble in lower alcohols and toluene. It has low residual monomers and stable physical properties. The product is certified by KIWA-ATA. It features low acute toxicity, no irritation, and no sensitization tendency. According to EU chemical regulations, it is a non-hazardous substance. It is not highly toxic to marine life and does not pollute the environment when discharged in concentrated seawater.
III. Application
This product effectively inhibits foam generated in thermal seawater desalination (MED, MSF). Recommended dosage: 0.18–0.35 ppm; the exact dosage depends on seawater quality and distillation temperature. The produced water is potable (approved and certified for European drinking water treatment production).
The Huanghua Power Plant’s seawater desalination facility, with a capacity of 2×10,000 tons/day MED, has been operating since June 2006 using Sokalan AF defoamer, with excellent results.
IV. Packaging
This product is packaged in 200 kg plastic drums. The packaging containers are labeled with the product name, specifications, net weight, batch number, and manufacturer name.
V. Storage and Transportation
This product should be stored sealed in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated place. Shelf life is 36 months. During transportation, handle with care to avoid impact.
