Taylor Rosette packing is made by bending plastic branches into elliptical spiral rings of a certain diameter. It was first developed by A.J. Teller in the United States in 1956, hence it is often referred to as Teller Rosette. Due to its structure, this packing can hold a high amount of liquid in its voids, allowing for a longer residence time of liquid in the column. This increases the contact time between gas and liquid phases, thereby improving the mass transfer efficiency of the packing.
