Container desiccant, also known as strong desiccant, is primarily used inside shipping containers to absorb moisture. During transportation across different latitudes, containers can develop "internal rain." It can absorb water equivalent to its own weight, effectively lowering the dew point over the course of up to 50 days of ocean shipping, thereby controlling condensation inside the container.

The water vapor inside the container condenses into water droplets, forming "container rain." By utilizing the moisture absorption capability of silica gel desiccant strings, the moisture content in the container's air is reduced, preventing the occurrence of container rain.
