Container desiccant, also known as strong desiccant, is primarily used inside shipping containers to absorb moisture. During transportation across different latitudes, containers can develop "internal rain." It can absorb water equivalent to its own weight, effectively lowering the dew point during long-haul voyages of up to 50 days, thereby controlling condensation inside the container.

The water vapor inside the container condenses into water droplets, forming "container rain." By utilizing the moisture absorption capacity of silica gel desiccant strands, the moisture content in the container's air is reduced, preventing the formation of container rain.
